Happy Easter!

We hung out in St. George for Easter. It was a lot of fun. Taylor's whole family was there and his brother Cade brought his girlfriend from Brazil. She is so cute and its nice not to be the new one in the family! It rained on Saturday so we went bowling with the family. We had some sweet easter egg hunts on Sunday though!

So Sad

So I have been posting a lot about Jake going on his mission and last Tuesday he really left. He went straight to the MTC in Brazil. It was so sad to see him go. There were a lot of tears but in the end we all know how good it will be for him. But obviously with my family things couldn't go smoothly. His flight left at 11:50a.m. and we all got there around 9:30. We stood by the security line with him until 11:20 and then finally all said goodbye. Then we all walked out crying and were headed to lunch when my mom got a call from Jake that said they wouldn't let him on the plane and his flight didn't leave until 3:30. So we went and picked him up and took him to lunch! Then we dropped him off at the drop off/pick up lane the second time. It was so funny though cause he was supposed to meet two other missionaries at the airport and we kept wondering where they were. Well we hope he made it to Brazil!

I am so slow!

I haven't posted anything in so long! So here is a little update. We spent new years at Taylor's house in St. George for the big New Years Golf tournament. It was a lot of fun. There was a lot of golf, climbing, card playing, and hanging out. We even rode the dirt bikes. This picture was taken right before I totally ate it on the bike. I didn't even go anywhere before I crashed and burned. It was awesome! But it kind of really hurt! The other picture is Taylor and his dad and brother trying to get flexible! It was a lot of fun. I also have been busy with cheer competitions. We took 2nd in State, (yes they do have state cheerleading now, how funny) and also in our other competition. We head to nationals in Florida in 3 weeks! Taylor just got back from Hawaii for work. It was a long 8 days without him.

Mission Call

So my little brother Jake just got his Mission call. He is going to the Sao Palo, Brazil East Mission. We are so proud of him and we are excited for him to get out of Utah. He went to Snow College and played football last semester, so other than Ephraim and Richfield he hasn't gotten out much. It will be a big change for him! It was fun to spend Christmas with my family since it will be Jakes last for a couple of years. We spent New Years with Taylor's family in St. George which was fun too.

Family

So I am trying to get some of my family members to blog but its not really working, but I love them all to death so I decided to post some pictures of my family. My brother Jake is 18 now and plays football at Snow College. He is getting ready to go on a mission and I am so excited for him. He will be such a good missionary and it will be so good for him. My sister Jenay is living in AF and goes to UVU and works and cheers. Its nice to have her so close. Jeanie lives in Fielding and has a cute new baby Colter. Ben lives Mount Pleasant and has a cute wife and two kids (but I don't have any pictures of them yet). And my brother Sam lives in Highland and has a cute 18 month old, Brooklyn. She is the little blonde. Here are some pictures of all of us this summer on our annual trip to Jackson Hole, Jake's football games, and me and Taylor and Sam skydiving!

Vacation

So me and Taylor took our first vacation together in a while. We have gone on family trips and cheer trips but not one with just us two in a couple years. We went to Cabo San Lucas and it was so much fun. We stayed for 7 days! It was in the 90's the whole time and we just laid on the beach and by the pool and read books. I think we both finished 3 full books! The hotel we stayed at was all inclusive, which I loved because you don't have to worry about where you are going to eat next the whole time. They brought us endless drinks and we ate whenever we wanted. I did have a hard time with there being no Dr. Pepper. Really, who doesn't have Dr. Pepper?! We only took 4 pictures while we were there because every time I told Taylor I wanted to take a picture he said, we already have one by the ocean! So I am posting all 4 pictures that we took while we were there. It really was so beautiful there and made us appreciate what we have here after seeing how they live. We really are so blessed! And I don't know how to rotate pictures and one of them was in the sun so I guess this post is kind of special! I keep remembering more so this post keeps getting longer and longer. There are locals all over the beach trying to sell things and it was so funny that after they would ask if you would like to buy a hat they would say, do you want some weed! So for the first time in my life, I got asked to smoke weed! ha ha

Happy Halloween

So friday was Halloween, and the last Springville football game of the season. We made it to the state playoffs and drove to St. George on for the game. My girls were pretty good sports though about cheering at a football game for halloween. We played Dixie High School again so once again me and Taylor got to tease each other. It was better this time though because it was a close game and Springville was actually up 11 points in the 4th quarter. We did loose though 36 to 40. So that led to Taylor reminding me that 10 years ago his Dixie High football team took state. We even watched his highlight video last saturday with a few of his friends and their wives. All of the wives were so proud but laughing pretty hard at them. It's always fun to look back at the good times and remember all we've done since then. Here are a few more pictures of my cute girls. I have to post about them since I don't have any kids! ha ha

St. George Marathon 2008

So last weekend Taylor ran the marathon! He did so awesome! He finished in 4 hr 12 min which is pretty amazing. It rained and was cold the whole entire time so I am so proud of him. I think his lips stayed blue for about 3 hours after he finished. He ran the first while with his sister Amy, who had a knee injury and still finished in pretty good time. Then he took off by himself and ran like a champ. I think he is hooked for life! He said he is ready to run another one. I told him he had to do it again next year with me since I missed out this time cause of my knee. Here are some pictures of him before and after the marathon. They did so awesome!

So last week was Springville High School's first football game! Im sure that sounds really random unless you know that I coach Springville's cheer squad. This is my third year and I think it will be the best one so far. I have a really fun squad this year and they work really hard. Anyways, back to the game. We played Dixie High School in St. George. This is where Taylor went to high school and every time I say anything about Dixie, Taylor reminds me how they took state in 98' for football. So you can imagine how hard it is for him to decide which side he should sit on even though that was 10 years ago! Well I was supposed to ride down with Taylor to the game but he had a conference for work and ended up not being able to come. So that left me riding the bus with the football team and cheerleaders! It was just like high school all over again! We had to double up seats and even triple some seats all the way down to fit everyone. And the football coach warned me ahead of time to make sure the girls weren't wearing any kind of perfumes or lotions! Because you know how those boys hormones get out of control when they do. Yes that is what the coach said to me. Needless to say it was a very long and hot ride down since busses have no air conditioning. All the windows were down and I felt like I had just gotten out of a wind storm when we finally got off the bus. We stayed in Cedar City the first night and went bowling and shopping on friday, then drove the rest of the way to St. George. It was a good game but I'm afraid its not looking so good for Springville this year, oh well at least the cheerleaders are good, right! It ended up 20 to 3. We headed home after the game and I got home at 4:00 in the morning which was kind of funny because Taylor had just woken up to leave for Springville to run the Hobble Creek Half Marathon. I didn't get to run it because there was no way I could run 13 miles after not sleeping. But Taylor did very good and is quite the runner now. I decided to post some pictures of my cute little squad though. Go Devils!

Ok, its kind of random that there is just suddenly wedding pictures but I was trying to make a slide show and I wanted it to stay on the side but I don't know how so I guess it will just be random.

So I got some pictures back from the Ragnar Relay.  It was one of the hardest things I've ever done.  It is a relay race from Logan to Park City.  We had a team of 12 members which I decided isn't enough.  I ran 15.6 miles altogether and Taylor ran over 16 miles.  We rode in two big vans of six people.  The race was 180 miles altogether and it took our team 28 hours to finish.  The fastest team ran it in about 17 hours!  Lets be honest, who really runs 5 minute miles?!  There were also Ultra teams who only used 6 people.  People are crazy!  It was a lot of fun because we had of fun people on our team.  We rode in boy and girl vans so the only person I knew at first was Taylor's sister Amy, but all the girls were really funny and we made it fun.  My knee decided it didn't want to run anymore in the middle of my second run and so the rest of the time I ran like a gimp and everyone made fun of me.  Taylor did awesome on his runs and made really good time!  We hope we can do it again next year.

We also love boating and recently learned how to use the surf board!

This is a picture of me and Taylor and two of the people he works with, on top of Devil's Tower.  Don't we look awesome in helmets!  And the other picture is what we climbed the whole way up.  That was probably one of the hardest things I've ever done.

We are now training for the St. George marathon and are running a ton!  We just ran the ragnar relay which was a lot of fun.  We also climbed Devil's Tower a couple months ago in Wyoming.  It was hard.

This is my first post in the blogging world!  Me and Taylor have been married for 3 years in July!
